Arts Commission Brand Guide

Logo

Primary Lockup

The primary logo lockup includes the logotype "The Arts Commission" along with the logomark and is designed to appear in the primary color black and reverse. All primary logo files can be downloaded using the button below.

File Types

The zip files in this guide include various color modes with coordinating files types, each chosen for a specific use. Details on when to use each file type are included below.

RGB Colors: PNG, JPG, SVG
Anything that appears on screen — mostly digital and website applications. SVG is a vector version that scales on digital screens and stays sharp no matter the size. All other file types are raster, so they work great at 100% but would not be recommended for scaling. PNG and SVG both have transparent backgrounds.

CMYK Colors: PNG, JPG, EPS, PDF
Anything that's printed on a regular printer or professional printer, but mostly for in-house printing. EPS is a vector version that scales well and stays sharp no matter the size. All other file types are raster, so they work great at 100% but would not be recommended for scaling. PNG and EPS both have transparent backgrounds.

PMS Colors: PDF, EPS
Anything that's printed professionally. PMS color values are designed to be incredibly consistent between professional printers. When having professional materials or swag produced, we'd recommend this for a strong match. Note, EPS has a transparent background.

Logomark

The logomark of The Arts Commission brand can stand alone only when there is sufficient representation of the official brand lockup. It is important to note that the logomark is not a replacement to the full logo lockup, but an additional brand element to reinforce the power of The Arts Commission brand. Special use cases like apparel and other promotional items are exceptions.

Tagline

The official tagline of The Arts Commission is set in the typeface Inter Light and can be used separately from the logo or as a lockup.

Clear Space

It is recommended to have ample spacing around The Arts Commission logo. This reduces complicated visual alignment and instability. The height of the letters within the logotype was selected as a constant measurement. When applied to the outside of the mark, it leaves room to reduce negative interaction with other elements and typography. The minimum space around the logo is to be 1/4”, even when the logotype height doesn’t meet that size.

Violations

The following are examples of logo treatment violations. Do not use or reproduce any of the treatments below or any variation of them.

Sub-brands

The Arts Commission has a handful of sub-branded entities – events and programs – that require an official sub-brand mark. These entities should not have their own logo, but instead, use the approved typographic marks below set in "Alternate Gothic ATF Medium" with a -30 kerning. Download the approved sub-brand files below.
